A game we did more than enough in to get something.
First half we gave Wellington too much room in midfield and they raced to a 2-0 lead, but we battled on and got back in the game when Ramani Stephens picked out Ryan Piggott and the striker headed home.
A real contest which saw two Sin bins one for each team by, let’s say a ref who saw things differently to most of us.
Half time 2-1
Second half Tipton started to stretch Wellington’s defence and we were on top but again Wellington scored from a breakaway.
Ramani Stephens then got us back in the game with a superb free kick from the edge of the box.
Their keeper pulled off two great saves from Harry Clifton and Ramani before the big talking point in the last minute Ryan Piggott’s raced past the last man heading for goal only to be barged over in the box penalty ! no, not seen by the only person in the ground who didn’t see it, unfortunately it left Ryan being carried off and a race to be fit for the final.
So although we end up losing the game the lads battled to the end today and we can feel very hard done to .
