BCFA Saturday Vase – Round 1
Tipton ran out comfortable winners this afternoon in a one sided encounter, Tipton had to wait 20 mins though before Mark Bennett opened the scoring from a corner.
Tipton kept possession well all afternoon and should gone further in front but Tom Cottam’s shot was well saved at the near post.
Cotty made amends though 8 mins later following up a Jon Patrick free kick to fire home the rebounds.
So 2-0 at the interval.
Tipton again had a lot of the ball second half and possibly could have had a few more but had to settle for a well taken Ryan Piggott goal after a good cut back by Conner Scott.
All 5 subs came onto the pitch but with the clock running down Star were awarded a penalty which they converted well.
So into the hat for the second round.
Next up a difficult away game at Allscott who have not lost at home this season.
