Great response to last weeks performance, from the start the lads were far more up for the game .
A much changed team saw Harry Clifton, Nathan Turner, Jake Fairhurst, Ryan Williams and a debut for Adam Mohamed all coming into the team.
Tipton started the half well and probably should been in front early, when Ryan Piggott found himself clean-through but the striker couldn’t find the target.
Ryan Pggott was a constant menace to Hunters’ back line and with our defence and midfield winning their battles, we found ourselves in front when Nathan Turner picked the ball up twenty yards out and he found the bottom corner.
Sikh Hunters are a decent side and find themselves in a false position but with a lot of games in hand, they played some great football but without really breaking through our defence.
Half Time Tipton 1 Sikh Hunters 0
The second half saw us battle for every ball and always looking a threat on the break, a rare mistake today giving the ball away in midfield cheaply lead to their equaliser that didn’t really look like coming .
Credit to the lads though they kept going and when Sam Armstrong broke through he’s cross leading to a mistake from a Hunters defender that left Nathan Turner free to fire home.
Hunters three everything at Tipton but the team held firm and should have scored in last seconds when every Hunters player went up for a corner leaving Ryan Pighott all alone the corner was cleared leaving Ryan to run the ball home but the ref had other ideas and blew for full time amazingly.
So a deserved 3 points and a much more energetic and controlled performance.
