What can you say about the lads today, to a man they gave everything against a team full of players who have played a lot higher standard .
Within a couple of minutes Ryan Piggott pace took him past the keeper who cleaned him out inside the box only to see the ref give nothing .
The striker wasn’t to be stopped though when Danny Bells inch perfect pass put him through he scored with ease .
Bentley quickly equalised from a corner one we should have done better with but ten minutes later Ryan Piggott again got on the end off a Danny Bell pass to fire home .
Try as they might Bentley couldn’t break down our defence and midfield who competed for every ball .
Second half
We knew Bentley would throw everything at us second half and they did , ending up with 4 players up the top including the outstanding Liam Hughes but Ryan Williams Mark Bennett Danny Wood Conner Scott and our midfield of Sam Armstrong Jamie Holder Sam Hesson never gave them an inch .
We also had a few more chances to increase the lead but the two goals first half was enough to see us through .
