Tipton Town will take on neighbours Halesowen Town in the big FA Cup clash at The Yeltz on Saturday (kick off 3pm).
The illustrious Evo-Stik League Division One South side are managed by Tipton’s greatest ever manager John Hill who is largely responsible for making the club what it is today.
In an interesting twist, Tipton Town recently announced the signing of John Hill (Jr) back to the club from AFC Wulfrunians, while last season’s Tipton captain Tom Tonks and midfielder Matt ‘Gina’ Martin are mainstays in the Yeltz side.
Centre-half Curtis Tilt recently made the journey across to Halesowen from Tipton but will be cup-tied for the game.
And Kristian Green – who has been winning plaudits for his versatile performances for Halesowen this season – is well known to Tipton boss Ian Rowe having played under him for several years at both Dudley Town and Gornal Athletic.
Halesowen overcame Midland Combination outfit Brocton 2-1 at the Yeltz on Saturday and knocked out West Midlands League side Black Country Rangers in the previous round.
Admission for the game is £8 for adults, OAP & Students £5, U16’s £2, U12’s free.
